The purpose of Sacramento Dyke March is to create unity within the diverse women’s community of the Greater Sacramento region, express lesbian pride and support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality.

The name “Dyke March” was purposely chosen as a way of reclaiming a word that has historically been used to demean or oppress women and transforming it into an expression of empowerment and pride.

Sacramento Dyke March is an event of the Sacramento Gay & Lesbian Center.
