Butch-N-Nellie’s Coffee Grounds brings new vibe to Sacramento Pride!
Sunday, 11 May 2008 13:14
Butch-N-Nellie’s Coffee Co. and the 3rd Eye Collective are bringing a whole new vibe to Sacramento Pride Festival 2008.

Butch-N-Nellie’s Coffee Grounds, a new feature of Sacramento Pride 2008, will offer live music, poetry, open mic segment, hosted by Bay Area lesbian comedian Margaret France and produced by the 3rd Eye Collective, plus an art show featuring the work of local artists.

Sit and enjoy the relaxed environment, along with Butch-N-Nellie’s splendid coffees, blended drinks, gelato and fresh-baked goodies, all transported directly from the popular Midtown coffee spot to Southside Park just for the day. “We’ll have pretty much everything we have here at the shop on a smaller scale,” says Butch-N-Nellie’s owner Kristi Bielski. “It’s going to be a lot of work, but I think it will be worth it. Hopefully, it will bring out a whole other crowd to Pride!”

Butch-N-Nellie’s Coffee Grounds is located just south of the KidZone and just northof the Volleyball Tournament area on the Festival map. The live show will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 5 p.m., but Kristi says she and her crew will be at the park early, offering Festival exhibitors and set-up volunteers a warm caffeine welcome.
